Don’t Play Every Hand! Fold More
Probably the biggest mistake that beginner poker players make is that they simply play too many hands. Playing more doesn’t mean winning more, however. In fact, it usually means the exact opposite. If you find that you are staying in on half or more of the hands you have been dealt, you probably need to have a look at your starting-hand requirements.

Don’t Bluff for No Reason
Like card counting is considered a major part of Blackjack, beginners understand that bluffing is a part of poker, but are not quite sure how. There is no rule about bluffing on a certain amount in poker, but a lot of players feel like they haven’t won if they haven’t bluffed.
