Workout disaster

Alas!! I discovered a giant moth lying in my protein powder tonight. I don’t know how long it’s been there and more importantly I don’t how how many moth larvae I might have consumed.

The whole experience has left me with a rather negative attitude towards the moth community.

Poker memories

Friday, August 22nd, 2008 | Poker and Life, Poker Articles | No Comments

I was just thinking of my worst poker memory from my own game and it just took me on a mental rollercoaster ride from one bad event to the next. Why did I take this mental ride – I don’t know – it’s not making any sense. It’s not like the ride is expected to lift my spirits – but actually it did - some of the moments were quite fun when I recall the memories. So which one was the worst? It’s not easy because you have to take many circumstances into considerations – the sum Read more [...]

Poker and Life

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 | Poker and Life, Poker Articles | 2 Comments

Poker and life....my toughest subject to write about to date on the Poker Bankroll Blog. Since I am suffering from a complete lack of inspiration on what to write about "Poker and Life", most likely because a title of that caliber demands some deep philosophical considerations, I think I will start in a small corner of the topic at hand and share some of my thoughts and experiences on how to combine poker and having a girlfriend. Perhaps some deeper thoughts on poker and life will emerge.....we Read more [...]

After a month with lots of friends on visit it is now back to work....hard work ;). It has been a fun month though with guest almost non-stop for the entire month. Here in Malta it is just getting hotter and hotter – to hot for our latest guest Mads who went directly home to the Danish hospital for observation with serious sunstroke…..not the best way to end a vacation. Well, we keep running with our projects – hot weather or not!! We are really exited with our projects and many things will Read more [...]

Ficus Bonsai

Friday, August 8th, 2008 | Poker and Life | 12 Comments

It is always good to have other interest than poker to fall back on if you need a break from the tables to regain focus. For some reason I like plants, in particular trees. So when I saw the Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng Bonsai tree in Ikea April this year, I had to have it even-though Ficus bonsai trees in that size are quite expensive (>100$). I rather cleverly presented it as a present for my girlfriend; being a poker player it always pays off to gain some goodwill on the home front, but more Read more [...]

So we are enjoying the summer in Malta with non-stop sun everyday. There hasn’t been a cloud on the sky for the last month or two :-) . It is perfect. Regarding the website projects for poker bankroll building and WOSB the focus has been more on a strategic level. For pokerbrb we are focusing on some of the future cornerstones for the site – that will bring value to the users. It’s a complicated decision process as many elements need to be taken into consideration such as potential traffic, Read more [...]

Full-body workout program

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 | Poker and Life | No Comments

You might think that this article has nothing to do with poker bankroll building, but in fact I believe that you will become a better poker player if you are in good physical shape. In my opinion mental and physical health go together hand in hand. In my case, one of my main spare time interests is working out in the gym, so writing an article about my new full body workout program comes natural to me. I have been working out regularly for the last 4 years and the last 6 months I have worked Read more [...]

So the PokerBRB team is gathered in Malta for the next couple of weeks. It is meant to be a vacation but we probably can’t avoid turning the subject in to our projects Poker Bankroll Builder and this blog. It started great when Mark was so kind to invite us on a big expensive fishing trip by spending some of his poker winnings. Like us he was really fired up for this trip and couldn’t wait for the day to come. The day was good at least for some of us. Mark had a good start by catching a 5-6 Read more [...]

Our two current main projects namely poker bankroll building and world online sports bookmakers are now up and running as we envisioned and the start up problems have been eliminated. We are now entering the phase for search engine optimization (SEO) where especially WOSB with lots of content and more than 1.000 web pages stands strong. We have hired a programmer full time the next month to exclusively do search engine optimisation on WOSB and PokerBankrollBlog. I think these pages are going to get Read more [...]

It's all business and hard work here in Malta these days with projects from early morning to late evening. The hours just go by in an instant one day after the other with our minds focused on WOSB and PokerBRB. Don’t get me wrong – its not that we feel burdened spending all the hours on the projects; it's something we want to do because we find it very exiting. I think both of us have great visions about this Malta-project and we can’t really wait to get to where we are heading. But the Read more [...]
